There was a buzz in the corridors on Thursday, the day before we were going on a Spring Break. There were parents of Crew One visiting the school and our classrooms altogether for the first time during this academic year. Let us have a glimpse of the preparations for the event. From making of popcorn in the classroom to painting the clay moulds for candles, students had loads of fun to learn the different processes.
During, our SEL lesson, Ms. Latha addressed the issue of the Ukraine and Russian war and read aloud the book titled- The Librarian of Basra. It was interesting to observe students participating in all the engagements.
We also had an assembly by the student council members to make al students understand and reflect on the essential agreements of the Junior School. This was done by them through short skits/ role play.
The day of the 'Celebration of Learning'

Students explained the process of making fruit salad in English and Telugu.
Fresh lemonade stall where students explained the process and served it.
Candle making process explained by another group of students. This stall was the first one to sell all their products.
Popcorn with a song! Students explained the process of making popcorn with a song and made the clients sing with them.
Bhel and sandwich making were the other stalls where students explained the process and sold the products.
The money earned during the celebration of learning will be used for charity. Students discussed and suggested their ideas for the same. The concept of 'Service Learning' was introduced to the students through this activity. This is also to encourage students to come up with different ideas for action and service in the future.
