Students are inquiring and learning about shapes. They created different patterns using the 'Geoboards' and rubber bands. This activity was done both individually and in pairs.
Students were given some time to read books of their choice after reading a book titled- 'Decibella' by Julia Cook was read aloud by the teacher. The students were introduced to the different voice levels through the book.
In Maths, students are also learning the concept of multiplication. They played hopscotch in two groups to skip count by 2 and 3 simultaneously. With the help of different strategies like skip counting, repeated addition, grouping, and arrays, they are learning times tables of 2 and 3. They also practised the concepts by using varied resources.
Students were introduced to the procedural writing process by making fresh lemonade in the classroom. They observed the process and made a note of it using the transition words- first, then, next, finally.
Students also watched videos of the processes of how are pencils and paper made.
In the library with Ms. Veena
During the SEL lesson, Ms. Latha led the session by practising mindfulness with us and playing a memory game.
It was fun to be a part of the session and play the game with the students.
