For the student-led sessions last week, students were immensely excited as ever. From singing and dancing to origami and visual art, they are always ready to showcase their talents and inspire their friends.
For their unit of inquiry, they were given a choice to choose an object/ product of their choice. They were provided with guided questions to research the process of the product.
Few students chose their products and displayed their interests.
In Maths, we are looking into shapes and patterns. Students identified different shapes around them. They also played the shapes twister game outdoors in three groups.
Then, they had a guided practice online to identify the sides and vertices of the different shapes.
During the guided reading lesson, students were divided into three groups and read-aloud books with a variety of follow-up activities.
Students expressed their understanding of 2D and 3D shapes while inquiring into sorting shapes.
They also drew some shapes in their books.
Students dwelled on learning more about adjectives through a picture prompt.
Students listened to a book on adjectives called 'Hairy, Scary, Ordinary'.
During their writing lesson, Ms. Elizabeth led the session focussing on word choice.
