Little did we think of having and leading towards 'Normalcy' and we are back online again! Unfortunate rise in the Covid cases and government restrictions have brought us to learning from home. We miss meeting our students on our beautiful school campus. It's okay, this too shall pass. As we all know, our Monday mornings are incomplete without watching and reflecting on Dr. Long's video message. Today, he had another story to narrate with a message- 'Forget and Forgive' the wrong that was done or happened. 'Remember and be grateful' for the good things.

We also had our nominations for the new student council member for the current term. The former student council representative shared her experience of the role and responsibilities. Then, the students voted for the nominations. We are left with taking votes from three more people who were absent today. Thereafter, we watched a beautiful book read aloud called- 'Fancy Nancy' by Jane O'Connor. This book highlighted some new vocabulary (fancy words) to learn. It acted both as synonyms to common words and some of them were describing words known as 'adjectives'.

Then, we continued with our writing pieces where students pre-wrote about their winter break, through brainstorming as their visible thinking tool. We worked in two groups to create the first draft of the writing. The writing process shall continue during the week to edit and publish their written expressions.
During our last lesson, we continued learning the concept of time. Today, students inquired into finding the durations of the time and learned two methods to calculate the same.
Students drew clocks to note the timings given and some of them calculated the time through forward and backward skip counting by 5.
