Our Festive Friday began with an assembly marking the harvest festivals and the Republic Day. Students from all grade levels in the Junior School participated in the events held at the assembly.
Thereafter, students joined the homeroom lesson to do some listening and writing in two groups. A book called 'Kind' was read aloud for the students to reflect on their kindness project.
Students were then guided to summarize or tell the story using a graphic organizer/ visible thinking tool.
Students created their first draft by recollecting what they watched and heard in the story.
During the check-in, group 2 students inquired into finding the starting times in the clocks using picture prompts and story problems.
They were guided to draw the hands on the clocks and solve these story problems in their notebooks.
