Day 5 every week begins with exciting reading sessions in groups with the specialists. Students read different books in the breakout rooms. They also had some follow-up activities.
Later, students were introduced to the Flipgrid task assigned to them. They had to choose any one cycle they observed or know about. Then, students represented their understanding either by creating models or by illustrating.
The students were guided to record a video and add their responses on Flipgrid.
The students prepared a sundial to understand the natural phenomenon caused by light. They also watched a video about sundial history and different variants from different countries.
The energizer for the day was 'The floor is lava'.
We continued with reading and interpreting the pictographs in the Maths session today. Students were also guided to record their responses in their notebooks using the tally marks.
Students were asked to reflect on the varied data that they read and interpreted earlier and if they have a choice for their collection of data. They will let the teachers know what kind of data would they prefer to collect, organize, represent, and interpret.
