Mind-blowing Monday

Its Monday again! This time the week is a very short one as we have a long weekend coming up. Dr. Long had a very important message conveyed through his video this morning. Students reflected after watching his video and expressed their understanding. They took turns to retell the story narrated by Dr. Long in his video. The message was 'Never Give Up' and 'Use Encouraging Words' for ourselves and others.
Then, the students watched and listened to a story book titled- 'How full is your bucket?'
We discussed that we will create a 'Kindness Calendar' and students will share their ideas for acts of kindness that we can put into action everyday this month beginning today.
The students looked at the examples of what a calendar looks like. Then, we discussed the names of the months of the year. Some of the students also displayed a calendar they had close to them.
For Maths, we continue to learn the concept of counting money. Students are also recapitulating the concepts of comparison of numbers and addition alongside learning about money. They are guided to draw, annotate, write in their notebooks while practising and solving different problems pertaining to money.
During the check-in, students expressed their ideas for 'Kindness Calendar'.
It was interesting to take their responses and fill in the 'Kindness Calendar' for this month- November. :)
