Students demonstrated agency by leading a session with a variety of learning engagements today. They have been conducting sessions for each other every week. From handstands, and headstands to singing songs and playing games. We also learned letters and numbers in the Telugu language. A Maths quiz and a magic trick were also a part of the student-led session today.
Chicken dance and gummy bear songs were used as energizers in between the lessons today.
In Maths, we continued with counting money lessons using the topmarks website and the picture prompts.
Students also annotated to identify and count coins.
In the language lesson, our focus was writing. The students were introduced to the 'Temporal Words' today. They watched two different videos in two breakout rooms. We had Ms. Elizabeth helping us with the other breakout room. After watching the video, students described the video/ story. Then, the temporal words were displayed for them to use while writing.
During our morning meeting, students displayed their timelines created by them yesterday. They were very excited to share about their pets and siblings.
It was a thoughtful Thursday for all of us.
