It's the Second Innings!!!

It was rejuvenating to welcome all the students of Crew One back to our Distance Learning Programme. Students were all charged and excited to share their stories from the holiday/ term break. They were guided to share their experiences through 'Sketch Notes' using an exemplar on the shared screen through the whiteboard. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Some of them displayed their sketch notes on screen and others were asked to complete and send pictures either through the Seesaw app or email.

In Maths, we continued with practising the concept of the addition of two-digit numbers using a picture prompt. Students annotated their responses on screen and explained how did they get their answers.
We tried a new energizer in between our lessons for physical movement. Students of Crew One just love to dance. :)
Our Monday morning special- Dr' Long's message is something we all look forward to. After watching the video, students, and teachers reflected on the his important message that acts as life lessons for us.
Maths Journal on the Seesaw blog was introduced to the students on Tuesday. They had a scavenger hunt to look around for two-digit numbers around them. It was fun to listen to their responses. They were guided to add their responses in the comment section on the blog.
We also practised two-digit addition using two different strategies- skip counting and splitting. The tools we used to add numbers were hundred's chart and base ten blocks.
We had our reading session with the specialists in different groups. One of the groups built their questioning skills using 5Ws and 1H after reading the assigned book.
Students also had their Art and Music lessons during the second lesson on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Also, they had their Hindi/ Telugu lessons on Monday-lesson 3 and afternoon for few students today. It has been a good start to the other half of term-1.
