Terrific Tuesday- Week 6

Tuesday morning started with parent collaboration and a padlet link was shared with them to support students with a learning engagement. Then, students watched a story called 'Our Class Is A Family' written by Shanon Olsen and illustrated by Sandie Sonke. The reflection of the story was done in breakout rooms. After that, students created a questionnaire in order to interview their buddies.
One of the students initiated and volunteered to conduct the energizer today. Students are encouraged to conduct such sessions or come up with ideas for morning messages on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Teachers mentioned that they can share their activity one day prior to when they would like to present it. This is an example of 'Student Agency' in 'Crew One'.
After the short break, students were assigned to different breakout rooms with their buddies to interview them using the questions created and discussed by them. We will continue this during the week. The students are motivated to record their responses either through writing or drawing as it is expected to share the same on Seesaw once they complete it.
In our unit of inquiry, we are addressing the line of inquiry-2: Making and maintaining relationships. Through this learning engagement, students were provided with an opportunity to know each other well and to make friends with each other.
For Maths, we introduced the concept of comparison of numbers through this picture prompt. Students' responses were recorded on the board and were guided to write the same in their books. We will continue with this concept during the week.
Students are expected to be ready with their number cards that was mentioned in the resource list in the clickable schedule.
