Hump of the Week

Students made their schedules and presented their daily routines with the help of illustrations and writing about the activities performed regularly.
Students enjoy participating in the morning messages. They display great enthusiasm to read the date and agenda. Their excitement to contribute to other discussions and activities is remarkable too.
To iterate the concept of kindness and to continue reflecting on the different acts of kindness that we are taking and would like to take in the future, we read aloud a book called 'What Does It Mean To Be Kind?' The book beautifully presents different examples of being kind. Students shared their life examples in breakout rooms and their responses were collated on a thinking tool called- 'Mind Map.
We had our student-led session on Wednesday this week. The theme for this week was 'Surprise'. It was interesting to observe their varied interests and the way they take over the session with utmost confidence. Performing with Hoola-hoops, teaching numbers in French, narrating stories, learning words in Romanian are some of the activities that were done during this session.
For a breather, we had an exercise song for students' physical activity and well-being.

For our Thursday's morning message, students' creative thinking skills were tinkled and they came up with some amazing designs for their theme park. Some of them used illustrations, some created using blocks and legos, others described it verbally.
We would like to acknowledge students who have completed their mind maps activity and uploaded the pictures on Seesaw. Also, a gentle reminder to others to complete their mind maps by tomorrow, the 03rd of September 2021.
For Maths, we continued with understanding the concept of place value of numbers through watching a video and a song. This was followed by solving some problems together on screen.
We also had a good time dancing on the freeze dance part 2 song.
