The fun began with watching a video on the 'Environment' and students reflected discussing our rights and responsibilities towards it.
Then, students had an energizer and some physical exercise using a fun video.
In Maths, the students calculated the time ahead using the picture prompts and story problems. An activity was assigned to them on Seesaw to practise drawing the hand on the analogue clock.
The last lesson was the student-led session where they were divided into two groups. Students presented songs, illustrations, origami, read books aloud, played musical instruments, and conducted Maths games. It was very interesting to watch them.
Students participated by making things demonstrated by their friends and responding to the questions asked during the online game. Peer learning is evident during these kinds of sessions.
Our Mondays become marvellous with Dr. Long's inspirational video message. Today, his message was to be caring and kind to others.
Students reflected on the video in breakout rooms.
Then, we all came back as a whole class to understand the concepts of adaptation and habitat through a video and presentation.
Students observed the pictures and shared their understanding through their responses. We will continue with this concept to further inquire into it.
Group 1 students joined us during the check-in session. We continued with learning the concept of time. Today, students used a number line to calculate time backwards.
An interactive clock from the toy theatre website is also used during the sessions to explain the concept.
