'Weathery' Wednesday

Today, students looked at a story focussing on 'Nouns'. It was a hilarious book with a lot of funny and rhyming words. After listening to the book, students joined the breakout rooms to identify the nouns and give examples. They were also guided by the teachers in the groups to write the names of the nouns identified. A couple of groups also focussed on writing sentences with the names of a person, place, animal, and thing. Students also played a noun game online in their groups. It was so much fun!! :)

We call it a 'Weathery Wednesday' today because we reflected on yesterday's learning about temperature and different weather patterns. Students were guided to record the temperature of yesterday and today. They created a weather chart and will be recording the temperature of the city every day.

Students were also guided to read their body temperatures on the thermometer and record them in their notebooks. We also used the interactive thermometers to learn the reading on the thermometer. This also helped students to read the temperature using both Celsius and Fahrenheit scales. Students were asked questions related to temperature and most of them could respond confidently. During this inquiry, we also discussed the unit of measurement for temperature which is degrees.
