During the morning meeting, students were very excited to share their ideas for the Global School Play Day and Unit-end celebrations. We discussed them in the breakout rooms along with introducing their new activity on Seesaw for their Maths Journal. Thereafter, they had their library lesson. Students took a short break and came back with more enthusiasm and volunteered to conduct and lead the 'Coconut Dance'.
Students watched the book read-aloud titled- 'Animals On Board' by Stuart J. Murphy. They identified the number operation and number sentences from the book.
Students counted the different animals on the truck and expressed their knowledge about the symbol of addition, number sentences, and number operations.
Students annotated on this picture to recognize and identify the different number of animals.
The teachers asked the students a few questions related to the field trip to the school. Students came up with interesting responses when they were asked- how would they know the way to the school? Some students mentioned they will ask elders, some said the boards will guide them, and some mentioned phone and Google Maps. The other students brought the globes they had at their homes.
Satellite view of the school on Google Maps. Students were thrilled to spot the different spaces on this platform.
Then, we watched the different spaces with a 3D view and could explore the places that we couldn't manage to see on the day of the field trip.

We also used Google Earth to locate our school.
Then, the students were guided to go to Google Maps to locate the school from their homes. They can draw/write the directions from their homes to the school in their books.
It was fascinating to see the students lightening faces when they see their school. Many of them mentioned that they would like to see their school every day as they miss being at school.
