Fascinating Friday was really very fascinating with fun and surprises today. During the student-led session, students came up with a variety of activities. Swara performed a shadow show for her friends. She also narrated a story with the characters she created during her shadow show.
Rajeev sang a devotional song melodiously.
Jaasritha displayed the craft of creating a magic wand out of paper.
Kritin Shourya performed a gravity maze.
Lakshmi Ayra painted/ coloured a pot cum piggy bank.
Daniela and Edith displayed their beautiful illustrations.
Evana taught all of us how to create a dog face with paper craft.
Students learned the concept of subtraction with regrouping and renaming during the check-in session today. We practised some problems followed by playing a game. The students were guided to illustrate and write the problems and solutions in their notebooks.
Teacher read aloud a book called 'Stand Tall' from the Epic books app. Students listened to the book and looked at a couple of case studies to identify good and bad choices. Through this activity, students were also guided to reflect on the goals that they have created in the past.
During the Maths lesson, we recapitulated the concept of ordinal and cardinal numbers through play. The students were asked to get their toys and give them positions from 1 to 10.
Students also watched a video related to cardinal and ordinal numbers.
Students proudly shared their displays of their toys' positions using ordinal numbers.
During the morning meeting, students performed some yoga poses through this song called 'We are going on a dragon hunt' by Bari Koral.
It was a 'Funtabulous Friday'. Have a great weekend ahead! We look forward to seeing each other on Monday next week! :)
